Kite Skiing, Chamonix, France

Chamonix in northern France is famous for all sorts of Alpine sports but this blend of paragliding and skiing lets you ride / fly the slopes at an incredible speed. You do need a good standard of skiing but if you’ve mastered the black slopes and are looking for the next step, find out more here.

Morzine is best known as a ski resort and as part of the bigger Avoriaz region, the winter months here offer some of the best runs in the Alps. A playground of a different kind is available all summer though with marked cross country biking trails and world class down hill runs. Shark Diving, Fife, Scotland

Swimming in shark infested waters should be enough to get most people’s adreniline flowing and Deep Sea World in Fife, Scotland is the place to do it. It doesn’t get much more extreme than journeying inside the earth and that’s exactly what you get to do when you go caving in Iceland. Bobsleigh, Sigulda, Latvia
